Barefoot Resort & Golf
Pros Outstanding accommodation and a golfers paradise with four top class courses, large practice facility and good on site dining plus it is across the waterway from Barefoot Landing Summary Large variety of 1 to 4 bedroom golf villas and tower apartments. Four golf courses, two clubhouses, separate practice range with golf shop, golf school and bar/restaurant
Cons No housekeeping option for the accommodation which may be an issue for longer stays. Our view Some of the best accommodation at a very reasonable price and the golf facilities are unrivalled.
A top class golf resort situated across the Intracoastal Waterway from Barefoot Landing. Four top class golf courses by famous designers, Pete Dye, Tom Fazio, Davis Love III and Greg Norman. The golf courses are at the premium end of the market but accommodation rates are very reasonable making for great value overall.

The main golf clubhouse serves the Fazio, Love and Norman courses while the Dye Club has it’s own clubhouse and practice area. There is a separate large practice area which has its own golf shop, retaurant and bar.

There is a wide variety of accommodation to choose from. The 1, 2 and 3 bedroom golf villas provide spacious, well appointed accommodation, many units have golf course views, but not all. The Yacht Club Villas and North Tower offer outstanding, spacious 1 to 4 bedroom apartments overlooking the Barefoot Marina and Intracoastal Waterway with Barefoot Landing beyond. Units are privately owned so furnishings vary but they are generally all finished to a high standard in our experience. Our personal preference would be for the North Tower which has it’s own large outdoor pool and hot tub.

Dining facilities consist of the main golf clubhouse which serves breakfast and lunch as well as the Dye Club which is open for lunch and dinner. There is also a bar and pizzeria at the large practice range.

Golf
The four on-site golf courses are among the highest rated in South Carolina. The Dye Club is tough links style layout with many typical Pete Dye challenges to overcome. The Fazio course is arguably the most picturesque of the four and the most fun to play, although the Love course runs it close. The Norman course is a very natural layout, typical of Greg Norman designs and has several holes along the Intracoastal Waterway.

Barefoot Landing
This is the premier shopping, dining and entertainment centre in North Myrtle Beach with many restaurants and bars to choose from as well as attractions such as House of Blues, Alabama Theatre and Alligator Adventure.
