Ocean Reef has long been a popular choice for UK golfers thanks to the quality accommodations, warm welcome and great location. Situated on Ocean Boulevard near 71st Avenue it is only a short walk to any number of excellent restaurants and bars in the area.
Facilities include the ocean front Café du Port restaurant, serving breakfast and lunch and the popular Banana Boat lounge bar. There is also a pool bar, indoor and outdoor pools, kiddies water park, fitness room and games room.
The standard hotel rooms have two queen beds, TV, private ocean front balcony, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, iron and board, hair dryer and wireless internet access. There are also efficiencies, which have a small kitchen area with stove and a range of suites available as well.
Ocean Reef also offers 2, 3 and 4 bedroom condos. The 4 bedroom condos are prime ocean front views, very spacious and are situated in the main hotel building. There is a limited number of these so early booking is recommended. The 2 and 3 bedroom condos are in the north tower and south tower and have angle ocean views.
The 2 and 3 bedroom condos are quite small compared to villa accommodation but you do have the ocean view. We recommend at least a 3 bedroom condo for 4 men.
Ocean Boulevard
Ocean Reef is at the north end of Ocean boulevard in Myrtle Beach. There is a Starbucks coffee shop in the neighbouring Long Bay Resort and a range of restaurants and bars within a few minutes walk including River City Café, Flamingo Bar & Grill, Outback Steakhouse, TGI Friday’s, Bone Fish Grill and, our favourite bar, Liberty Taproom. Most of the restaurants are one block inland on Highway 17 Business.
